Just back to Canada, I only recently learned about the MTV Canada show 1 Girl 5 Gays. There’s actually a number of other shows in development right now based on the fabulous success of this show. Like the original, they all spell out the entire premise of the show in their respective titles. Here’re some:
- 1 Woman 16 Cats: In this show, a crazy woman sits down at a table with her 16 cats to talk about sex, boys, and everything in between. (There are no actual cameras and it’s just a crazy woman in her apartment talking to her cats.)
- 1 Girl 5 Gays -- 3 Gays = The 1 Girl and 2 Gays Show: You got math skillz? This funny group is gonna teach you a thing or two about sex and boys—using math. Straight up quadratic.
- 1 Girl 5 Gays on 5 Tractors: This is basically like the show on MTV, but it happens on a farm and the 5 gay guys sit on tractors spread across a corn field answering questions with hot pink megaphones. ”Farm life just got sexy again.”
- 2 and a Half Gay Man: This is a sitcom in the hilarious style of CBS’s popular Two and a Half Men. Two brothers live together. In place of a child character, they live with another guy who sometimes awkwardly jokes that he’s “half gay”.
- Formula 1 Racing and 5 Gays: Ready for a total rush of adrenaline? Five gay guys dish out some honest answers to some funny, sexy questions. They do this while each holding a critical role in a Formula One racing team in the midst of a high stakes world championship race.
- One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish and 5 Gays: This web series is essentially a reading of the Dr. Seuss classic for beginner readers interlaced with five exceptionally flamboyant, gay men answering personal questions about their sex life in great detail.
